The Grand Healthcare System expands into Rochester, New York with purchase of Brighton Manor

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Monday, August 9, 2021) — The Grand Healthcare System (The Grand) is pleased to announce its takeover of  Brighton Manor in Rochester, one of Monroe County’s landmark skilled nursing facilities.

Following the transaction, Valley Stream-based The Grand, which provides rehabilitation and skilled nursing services to residents who require short- or long-term rehab and nursing care has renamed the 80-bed facility Rochester Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The Grand, which has a track record of improving underperforming nursing homes through strong leadership, training and capital improvements, renovations and equipment upgrades, is already addressing some of the nursing home’s most pressing needs. Renovations and improvements are also planned for much of the facility.
