Dan Muskin
Dan has been a licensed New York State nursing home administrator since 1998. He has a bachelors from the State University at Albany and a masters from Hofstra University. A proven leader with an excellent record with the Department of Health, Dan has been a frequent nursing home visitor since age five and his work with the elderly is the realization of a lifelong dream. Dan has experience in both the profit and not for profit sectors and he understands the customer service aspect of health care in addition to having expectations for clinical excellence. His unique ability to assemble successful management teams and his gift for appreciating every guest and family member at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens make Dan an integral part of the facility. Dan’s many efforts on behalf of his community have earned him a community service award from the United Jewish Council of the Lower East Side.

Theda Burell
Director of Nursing

Theda Burrell is the Director of Nursing at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens. Educated at Adelphi University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing administration. Theda began her career as a Med-Surg nurse and then moved on to a specialty in geriatrics. Passionate about patient advocacy, the importance of interdepartmental cooperation and team building as a means of patient satisfaction, Theda has devoted the last two decades to serving the geriatric population, working as both an MDS coordinator and Director of Nursing. 

Claudia Giammarino
Director of Rehabilitation
Claudia is a graduate of Columbia University’s Teachers College with a masters in speech-language pathology and has over 20 years experience as a medical speech-language pathologist who has lectured extensively and authored several articles. Claudia gained her administrative experience at The Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and has been with The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing since 2013, where she has been effective at streamlining the evaluation and treatment of residents and has introduced a clinical phsyiatry and orthopedic clinic. She lives in Bayside, Queens with her husband Peter and her daughters Alessandra and Francesca.

Sarie Alicea
Director of Admitting

As Director of Admitting at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens, Sarie Alicea is involved in many aspects of our guest experience. In addition to admissions, Sarie manages all HMO authorizations and works closely with HMO case managers, case managers, department heads and guests. She also maintains a close relationship with hospital doctors and case managers to ensure that our guests are properly placed and are treated to The Grand's high standard of care. Sarie has been in the healthcare field for twelve years, eight of which have been spent at The Grand.
