Kristen Spohr-Fulmer

Kristen has been with The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rome since 2013. She decided on a career in business management while still in high school and she graded from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2005 with a degree in business management and a concentration in marketing. Since that time she has worked in jobs ranging from hospitality management to pharmaceutical sales and marketing, positioning her as an ideal candidate for the job of assistant administrator. In addition to her work at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing, Kristen is currently working on obtaining her administrator’s license and she enjoys working both with the elderly population and the diverse departments within the facility. Kristen hopes to enjoy a long career working directly with employees, residents, and their families.

Kim Smith
Director of Rehabilitation
Kim was born and raised in Rome and attended Russell Sage College where she received a degree in physical therapy. She was recognized in a “Who’s Who” article during her junior year for her academic achievements. Since graduating, Kim has accumulated twenty years of experience as a therapist, starting in an outpatient setting and serving a director of two outpatient facilities, one of which she owned. Kim joined the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing team at Rome in 2007 and she works closely with her team of therapists to ensure excellent outcomes for all residents.

Abby Little
Director of Social Work

Abby has been with The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rome since 2012. A graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a degree in sociology, Abby began her career as a social worker in long term care but found her true calling in caring for the elderly. Abby, who has worked in various areas of long term care throughout her career, brings many years of experience to the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing where she enjoys working closely with guests, families and the interdisciplinary team.

Thomas Thorngren
Director of Adult Day Care

Thomas was born and raised in Utica and attended Mohawk Valley Community College, where he received an associate's degree in Criminal Justice. Thomas has enjoyed a 20 year career in health care, having spent 19 years as the quality of life coordinator at a residential health care facility before joining the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing team. Thomas has been married for 11 years and is the father of a seven year old son and a six year old daughter. A sports lover, Thomas currently enjoys golf and curling.

Beth Ernenwein
Director of Recreation

Beth’s interests in working with the elderly began at age ten, when she began volunteering at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing and she continued her efforts throughout her ten years, earning her CNA at age 19 and working for six years until she elected to become a stay at home mother for her son and daughter. She has since returned to The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing as an activities aide, with her passion and love for both her job and every resident in the building earning her a promotion to her current position.

Trish Dreimiller
Director of Admitting

Trish is a graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester with a bachelors in social work. She joined the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing team recently, bringing with her 25 years of experience in both acute and long term healthcare. Trish lives in Oneida, New York.
