Peretz Stein
Administrator

As the Administrator, Peretz Stein is responsible for all buildings and facility related issues at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens. Peretz has been working in healthcare for the past eight years, and during that time period he has worked in purchasing, maintenance and administration. A resident of the Rockaways, Peretz is heavily involved in community programming and has served as a mentor for at risk teens.


Ari Zadeh
Assistant Administrator
Ari graduated from Yeshiva University with a bachelor’s degree in international business and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration. Ari originally began his career with The Grand as a marketing professional for The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens. He then successfully took on the role of Director of Adult Day Healthcare at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley. He has now returned to where he began, bringing with him not only his administrator's license but a wide range of experience in dealing with the diverse departments within the facility. Ari has been an active volunteer firefighter with the Nassau County Fire Department and he has also volunteered with the New York Police Department. Ari has a passion for working with the elderly population and lives in the Bronx with his wife Dina.


Theda Burell
Director of Nursing

Theda Burrell is the Director of Nursing at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens. Educated at Adelphi University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing administration. Theda began her career as a Med-Surg nurse and then moved on to a specialty in geriatrics. Passionate about patient advocacy, the importance of interdepartmental cooperation and team building as a means of patient satisfaction, Theda has devoted the last two decades to serving the geriatric population, working as both an MDS coordinator and Director of Nursing. 


Claudia Giammarino
Director of Rehabilitation
Claudia is a graduate of Columbia University’s Teachers College with a masters in speech-language pathology and has over 20 years experience as a medical speech-language pathologist who has lectured extensively and authored several articles. Claudia gained her administrative experience at The Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and has been with The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing since 2013, where she has been effective at streamlining the evaluation and treatment of residents and has introduced a clinical phsyiatry and orthopedic clinic. She lives in Bayside, Queens with her husband Peter and her daughters Alessandra and Francesca.
