Daniel Hoose, Director of Recreation at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland, began his career in health care at just 20 years old when he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long term care facility. Encouraged by his peers to further his education, Daniel graduated nursing school in 1997. Over time, Daniel has combined his background in nursing with his passion for working closely with people and he enjoys being an important part of our guests’ daily lives as head of the activities department, where instead of measuring out medicines, he charts out daily doses of fun.
Food Service Director Rajmatie “Pam” Gowrie has been working in the food industry since 2001. A graduate of Cornell University, Pam began working at the Guilderland Center in 2005 as a dietary aide. Over the years, Pam has risen through the ranks and was named director of the Food Service Department when the Guilderland Center became a member of the Grand Healthcare System family. With a passion for serving and helping the elderly, Pam enjoys putting a smile on the faces of our Grand guests each and every day, doing her very best to ensure that they feel at home during their stay with us.
