Gary March
Acting Administrator

Guilderland acting administrator Gary March comes to The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing with more than 13 years of experience in the health care and insurance industry. A 2002 graduate of SUNY Oneonta, Gary worked most recently as the Capital region marketing supervisor for Fidelis Care. Firmly committed to providing the highest level of care, outstanding customer service and to giving back to the local community, Gary has served on the Ulster County United Way board of directors and has participated in the CASH Coalition and United Way 5K and Golf Tournament planning boards.

Joan Moutray
Director of Nursing
Director of Nursing Joan Moutray began her career in nursing at age 19. She received her nursing degree from Albany Medical Center and has an associates in applied science and certification in gerontology from Maria College. A certified EMT who volunteers for Bethlehem Ambulance, Joan is an active member of the Albany County Emergency Response Team. A graduate of The New York State Health Facilities Association’s Director of Nursing Certificate Program, Joan received the NYSHFA’s Long Term Nurse of the Year award. She has worked with the NYSHFA on grant programs and has conducted seminars with students from local nursing programs. Joan has over 20 years’ experience as a Director of Nursing and has worked in acute care at the Stratton V.A. and St. Margaret’s home for children with special needs. She enjoys scrapbooking, cooking and traveling and is incredibly proud to have raised nine children and to have been a part of their daily lives.

Donald Wood
Director of Rehabilitation
Director of Rehabilitation Donald Wood graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in physical therapy. He has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics and acute care and sub-acute rehabilitation. Donald enjoys the field of physical therapy because it offers an array of challenges on a day-to-day basis, allowing him to actively make a difference in the lives of those with whom he works. Donald has a passion for sports and the outdoors and enjoys golfing, fishing and hiking in his free time.

Wendy Decker
Director of Admissions
As a long term Guilderland employee, Wendy Decker has held various positions, from receptionist to working in human resources and payroll. She is now the facility’s Director of Admissions. She is involved in many aspects of our guests’ experience and works closely with staff members to ensure that every guest is properly placed and treated to the high standard of care that makes Guilderland an exceptional facility. She and her husband live in Cobleskill with their two children.

Daniel Hoose
Director of Recreation

Daniel Hoose, Director of Recreation at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Guilderland, began his career in health care at just 20 years old when he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long term care facility. Encouraged by his peers to further his education, Daniel graduated nursing school in 1997. Over time, Daniel has combined his background in nursing with his passion for working closely with people and he enjoys being an important part of our guests’ daily lives as head of the activities department, where instead of measuring out medicines, he charts out daily doses of fun.

Rajmatie Gowrie
Director of Food Service

Food Service Director Rajmatie “Pam” Gowrie has been working in the food industry since 2001. A graduate of Cornell University, Pam began working at the Guilderland Center in 2005 as a dietary aide. Over the years, Pam has risen through the ranks and was named director of the Food Service Department when the Guilderland Center became a member of the Grand Healthcare System family. With a passion for serving and helping the elderly, Pam enjoys putting a smile on the faces of our Grand guests each and every day, doing her very best to ensure that they feel at home during their stay with us.
